Reimagining Administrative Space

Progress Bar 75
Lead: Jay Torres

Reimagining Administrative Space is designed to meet the evolving needs of our growing Department of Internal Medicine by creating a vibrant and balanced workspace. This initiative brings together innovative, collaborative spaces and traditional work environments to foster productivity, creativity, and efficiency. Recognizing the importance of both private offices for focused work and open areas for teamwork and interaction, the Space Allocation Initiative supports a dynamic work environment that promotes both individual and team success, promoting a culture of flexibility and collaboration. This approach ensures that our space is aligned with departmental priorities while accommodating future growth in a sustainable, adaptable way.

The first of these innovative spaces, The Hub, has been established and is located in the John W. McCullough building, Room 4.114. The Hub is designed specifically to meet the administrative needs of Chiefs and Faculty, providing comprehensive support from an experienced administrative team. Whether it’s assistance with business coordination, budget & finance, management, or grants, the team at The Hub is here to help—regardless of divisional assignments. This one-stop shop is available Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, ensuring you have access to the support you need, when you need it.

While there will always be a place for traditional workspaces, these new collaborative spaces offer our teams a fresh, more flexible way to work together. We are excited to continue expanding this concept and creating dynamic environments that foster collaboration, innovation, and efficiency across the department.

Further Hub space is on hold until a permanent Internal Medicine Chair has been appointed.
