Lecturer: Dr. Mukaila Raji

Topic: Medication Deprescribing: Practical strategies to changing or stopping medications in older adults

Objectives:

  1. Recognize health impact of adverse drug events from polypharmacy and high-risk medications
  2. Describe factors that lead to polypharmacy and use of high-risk medications
  3. Discuss how to change or stop medications in ways that foster shared decision-making, respect patient autonomy, and ensure patient safety
