A recent study by Dr. Elizabeth Vaughan and colleagues, titled, "Exploring Age-Related HbA1c Variations in CHW-Led Programs," has been selected as a late-breaking abstract for presentation at the American Diabetes Association's (ADA) 85th Scientific Sessions. The event will be held June 20-23, 2025, at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago, Illinois.

The study will also be featured in the Diabetes Care journal and published online on the Diabetes® website, offering valuable insights into how community health worker (CHW)-led programs impact age-related variations in HbA1c levels, a key marker in diabetes management.

The ADA's Scientific Sessions serve as one of the premier events in diabetes research, and being chosen as a late-breaking abstract highlights the significance of this research in advancing the understanding of diabetes care. The study focuses on evaluating how CHW interventions help manage and reduce HbA1c across various age groups, making it a critical piece of research for improving diabetes outcomes.
