Dr. Baillargeon is a Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Population Health at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. He is also the Director of Epidemiology and Outcomes Research in the Division of Correctional Managed Care and a Senior Epidemiologist in the Office of Biostatistics at the University of Texas Medical Branch. His primary areas of research interest are: pharmacoepidemiology, drug safety, comparative effectiveness research, infectious disease epidemiology, correctional epidemiology, health services research and cancer epidemiology.
