#SLACoff with the Student Life Activities Committee
The Student Life Activities Committee (SLAC) serves as a student advisory council for various initiatives, events, and activities organized by the Office of Student Life.
SLAC is a university-wide initiative aimed at boosting student engagement through collaborative activity planning. With representatives from each program across the university's five schools, the committee focuses on organizing fun and impactful events that resonate with the student body. SLAC meets monthly, with additional meetings scheduled, as necessary.
If you are interested in becoming a committee member, please send an email to the Office of Student Life at studentlife@utmb.edu with the subject SLAC Committee Member. The staff advisors for SLAC will reach out to you with more information.
Students who want to stay up-to-date but don't feel like they can commit their time to the committee are welcome to join the SLAC Email List to receive notifications of upcoming events and meeting updates.
